The Privilege 495 is perhaps the most comfortable, seaworthy and robust 50 foot cruising cat ever built. AFRICA 2 has been in the expert hands of a seasoned, live-aboard couple since 2014. A proven circumnavigator, it has never chartered and has always been maintained with superior care. The interior cherry veneers, engines and engine rooms are in truly "bristol" condition. Systems are maintained at precise manufacturer intervals and the hull gelcoats, brightwork are polished and sharp year round. The yacht cruises in the Antilles and Bahamas in the winter and is stored on the hard during hurricane season. Please browse the gallery of recent photos and the walk-thru video.

This is the sought-after owner version with a large king-size bed in the forward "beam-to-beam" cabin and two guest cabins aft. The galley is up and includes four burner stove, double sink, dishwasher and Corian counter tops. The interior is fitted in a cherry wood veneer that is finished to a high gloss. The owners, who have owned other blue-water mono-hulls, selected this cat to meet the challenges of Atlantic ocean crossings and Caribbean trade-wind conditions.

The yacht has seen limited use and registers just 1600 hours on the twin 75 HP Volvo engines. All comfort amenities are aboard: large 12KW generator generator (1500 hours), full air conditioning (4 x 16,000 BTU compressors), water-maker, fridge and separate freezer and a washing machine.

The sail wardrobe features durable Incidences Hydranet mainsail and genoa, screecher on separate removeable stay and 2 Parasailors for efficiency and ease of use on long downwind passages. Electric primaries, main halyard/reef and main sail sheet/traveler winches (5 electric winches), allow the owner to run the boat shorthanded with his wife. The hard-top bimini facilitates mainsail access and handling.

The powerful aluminum Marechal mast is stayed by an upper cap and lower shroud on each side and by a forestay and inner stay (baby-stay) forward. The raised stanchions are higher than the standard allowing for a third row of lifelines. This tough, uncompromising yacht will take your family in complete safety and comfort through the Caribbean or on a circumnavigation.

The dedication to luxury and practical comfort is unequalled on a Privilege cat. The joinery and finish inside are matched only by the caliber and quality of the stainless fittings on deck. The salon and cabins are roomy and light; the cockpit is large and offers easy access to very wide transoms.

A superb yacht, one of the finest I have seen. Please contact us to arrange a showing.
