Quickstep Too was bought by the Bubb family in February 2021 for their bluewater cruising plans. Nick Bubb is a vastly experienced former professional offshore racer (maxi-cat non-stop around the world, Volvo Ocean Race, Mini Transat etc), engineer and boatbuilder. The previous owner had a similar pedigree and was a top French multihull sailor (former Jules Verne holder) & boatbuilder. He refurbished the boat after buying it from a charter company and replaced the engines and rig, before cruising extensively in the north Atlantic with his family.

Six months in the UK were spent comprehensively overhauling all the systems and added full ‘off grid’ capability. Highlights from the refit include.

-       Rocna 25 anchor with new calibrated chain
-       Additional electronics to achieve full redundancy i.e. back up autopilot and chart plotter systems, a new charging system centred around a new 1000W solar rack and an advanced lithium battery set up, with a wind generator back up system

After her refit she was sailed from the UK across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, Panama Canal to the Galapagos Islands. Then made the 3000+ nautical mile crossing to the Marquesas Islands, Tuamotus to Fiji. The owners hauled her out for another mini refit to ensure she was ready to sail back to the UK. Now with work calling and a change of plans Quickstep Too is on the market.

She is prepared for a full round the world cruise and as such, is genuinely ready to take on whatever challenges the new owner has in mind. This is an incredibly well equipped and prepared boat.

Recent Works in Fiji included: new rudder bearings, new hull/front beam pins, a full rig service, a factory service for the water maker, new wind instruments, topsides and stainless polished, props polished, and sail drives serviced plus seals re bonded, main engines and outboard serviced, antifouling and anode check, misc fibreglass and gelcoat repairs, some new halyards and sheets and new cockpit seat foam.
