The O'Day 40 is a sleek, cruiser racer design  which was a collaborative design effort between C Raymond Hunt Associates and of French sailboat designer Phillipe Briand. The O'day 40 was ahead of her time with a sugar scoop transom with a swim platform and deep SS swim ladder. The cozy interior has two comfortable private cabins, a Espar diesel heater, and is trimmed out in teak wood cabinetry and teak floors.  Interior cushions are recently redone in a cream colored leather.

Star is outfitted with a cockpit dodger and bimini, Garmin GPS, VHS radio with AIS, RAM mic for the cockpit,Auto Pilot, Electric anchor windlass, Rockna Anchor with Chain and rode, full battened mainsail, and a Westerbeke 46 hp diesel. Roller furler for the head sail, mainsail lazy jacks, all sheets led aft to cockpit, self tailing winches. One year old bottom paint, new thru hull valves, new dripless shaft seal.

Star is capable, comfortable, and represents great value. Lots of upgrades and improvements by knowledgeable owner means less money you will have to invest in this vessel.  Owner's plans have changed and he has put Star on the market.
