• "Serendipity" is an extremely well cared for example of the classic Ted Hood Bristol 38.8 cruiser. With her 4’6” draft, she easily cruises the shallow waters of the Chesapeake, Keys and Bahamas. With her centerboard down, (draft 10’4”) she tracks extremely well and safely navigates blue water.  Very responsive under sail,she has comfortable accommodations for coastal or offshore cruising.

   

  The cockpit is well protected by a bimini and dodger with clear glass and grab handles for safe movement around the wide decks. The dual, full sized lazarettes insure plenty of storage for sails and other large cruising gear.  Cockpit led lines, new oversized winches, and a wide sail inventory make sail handling a breeze, and she boasts an assortment of ground tackle for any anchoring situation.

   

  Serendipity’s comfortable, newly varnished interior has excellent storage.  The chef’s galley has an Origo stove/oven and a large refrigerator with engine driven and 12-volt compressors. The spacious salon easily accommodates entertaining and safe passage-making.  The salon’s pullout berths, with lee-cloth and private V berth make for comfortable sleeping at anchor or on passage.  All LED lighting and an expanded AGM battery bank, invertor and solar panel provide a reliable power supply when away from the dock.
