Deck and Hull Equipment

Let me explain in further detail:  First off this is a long 25’ boat compared to other boats and has a ton of unobstructed floor space compared to some of these other 25’ boats where you can hardly walk.  From the engine to bow is 28’ but titled as a 25’ boat.  You are getting a lot of boat for the money.   This boat has a 30” Aluminum (double engine) Armstrong Engine bracket which also serves as a large swim platform or usable for fishing, cooler storage, hanging out at the sand bars and more.  Attached to the 30” bracket is SeaStar Jack Plate.  Jack Plates come in different thickness and this one is 8” thick and allow for vertical rise and fall of the engine.  (Completely different from Engine Trim which goes up & down at an angle).  The Yamaha motor is a 25” shaft which has less drag than a 30” shaft.  The further the motor is away from the hull allows for cleaner water to pass by the propeller and since this set up is over 38” from the main hull of the boat it can use a 25” shaft and has good water flow by the prop. The engine bracket allows the vessel to operate with better fuel efficiencies.  The boat planes quicker than any other boat of its size and with the shorter engine shaft and jack plate you are able to idle into very shallow waters compared to other boats of this size and I personally find this beneficial on every excursion.  This boat can idle in about 2’ of water if needed by using the Jack Plate and Engine Trim.   This is a great benefit for fishing shallow waters or navigating and pulling up to sand bars.  The Armstrong engine bracket is designed with a large watertight dry space underneath and has depth and positive buoyancy.  Basically, a hull underneath the bracket which has a slight V shape acting like an extension to the boat hull giving the boat a longer haul which is why it performs better in rougher water, planes quicker, amazing fuel efficiencies, etc.  It can also do more with less power.  After 7 years of use, it’s not underpowered and goes anywhere everyone else does at the same average cruise speeds of 26mph-30mph.  Another benefit of the Armstrong engine bracket is having a clear and unobstructed cockpit around the stern of the boat.  Great for fishing or passengers.  The double engine bracket could be used for adding a second engine if someone was inclined to do so.  Most boats would have a single Armstrong engine bracket for one engine which is not nearly the same size and does not offer the same benefits as this larger version.  After seven years of use I’ve found this set up to be amazing and has less operating cost then heavier boats with twin engines.  Honestly, I got lucky!  You can cruise 26mph-30mph all day long.  Top speed is 40pmh.  If you are a speed junky, sell the motor and put a 300hp on the boat.  This boat gets on plane immediately without excessive bow rise or lost vision.  She just goes and it’s awesome and different.  Another important build note is the large gas tank which was purposely positioned for forward weight and balance allowing the deep vee sharp entry hull to work effortlessly.  The tank is 8 feet long stretching from the helm to the bow.  The weight distribution and balance is perfect!

Private seller. 2016 SEA VEE - Custom Center Console with 2019 Aluminum Dual Axle Trailer:  This boat is UNIQUE and an excellent offshore boat, fantastic inshore boat, great for fishing, day cruiser with exceptional gas mileage, practical, simple, and a real head turner.  I am asked regularly what kind of boat she is and receive constant praise.   Everyone says she is a Sea Vee from 1985 hull/molds which are legendary.   Please read this information because there are so many things which make her unique.  The Hull itself was purchased from a marina auction where all assets were up for sale.  99% sure this is a Sea Vee or legal splash mold of Sea Vee but build even better.  The DNR inspected the boat and since there was no evidence of a Vin# provided me a green light and a Vin# as a custom built 25’ CC in 2016 when purchased.  I own a clear title on the boat and it’s ready for immediate sale.  Floridians and Southerners are very familiar with the Sea Vee stories and how things were a mess back in the day with competition between Rampone, Contendor, SeaVee, Blue Water and they all basically had the same Hulls. If not familiar just google or ask me and I can help you find the stories and forums  where people discuss these historical events.  Bottom line the Hull Designs are fantastic!

This is the largest 25’ boat on the market due to the large double engine bracket made by Armstrong which provides additional positive floatation that expands 30” beyond the 25’ hull and the result is better planning from hole shot, better fuel economy, drier ride, increased speed, increased seaworthiness, better safety, increased deck space.  There is also an 8” Jack Plate on the Armstrong Engine Bracket creating an additional eight more inches of length from the propeller to the hull.  Add the two together and that’s over 3’ of additional boat length and performance.  This is why the boat rides and feels more like a 27’ boat.  This is so very important to the amazing handling characteristics of this boat which I am about to discuss in more detail.  This boat is not underpowered and much, much bigger than the photos show.
